First off, $700 MILLION! That’s not chump change! I mean, I stub my toe and I’m not getting $700 million! Kudos to X-Energy for convincing investors that splitting atoms is still a good idea.
Seriously though, the Amazon deal? Brilliant. Jeff Bezos probably wants to power his future space colonies with this stuff. “Alexa, more power to the life support system!” But hey, even if it just powers data centers, it’s still better than burning a whole forest for energy, right?
