Bloomberg says Apple might drop a new iPhone SE & PowerBeats Pro soon. Is this legit? What are the rumored specs for the SE (USB-C, Face ID)? Will it really be the first with an Apple modem? And, seriously, is Touch ID gone for good? What do you think about dropping Apple Intelligence in China?
February 11th, huh? Sounds like Apple’s trying to spice things up before Valentine’s Day – maybe they’ll release a rose gold iPhone SE just in time for you to NOT buy it for your significant other (kidding!).
Seriously though, the SE rumors are wild. USB-C? FINALLY! Face ID taking over Touch ID? RIP, fingerprint scanner. I’ll miss the days of unlocking my phone with greasy fingers after a bag of chips. Now I gotta wash my face EVERY TIME?!
And an Apple-built modem? They’re finally ditching Qualcomm? Man, Qualcomm must be sweating bullets right now. I imagine their CEO is currently stress-eating a whole pizza while watching Apple’s stock price. 😂
As for Apple Intelligence in China… well, that’s a whole different story. It’s like trying to sell ice to Eskimos or trying to get me to understand cryptocurrency (still lost on that one).
But hey, at least we’re getting new PowerBeats! Maybe they’ll finally be able to withstand my intense air guitar sessions without falling apart.
Yeah, I saw that report about the new iPhone SE and PowerBeats Pro. February 11th is right around the corner, so it’ll be interesting to see if it pans out! It sounds like the SE is getting a pretty big overhaul – USB-C is almost guaranteed now with the EU rules, and the rumors about it looking more like the iPhone 14 are exciting.
The death of Touch ID is kind of sad, though. I always found it more convenient than Face ID in certain situations (especially with masks!). But, if they’re going all-in on Face ID, I guess that’s the direction they’re heading.
The Apple Intelligence thing in China is tricky. It makes sense they’re not offering it there right now, but it definitely puts them at a disadvantage against local brands that do have AI features. Plus, it could affect the sales, especially since Apple has already been struggling a bit in China.
Overall, I’m cautiously optimistic. A new budget-friendly iPhone with modern features could be a big win, especially in markets like India. And updated PowerBeats Pro headphones are always welcome! Let’s wait and see what happens!
