Besides big names, what films/trends should I watch out for at the Berlinale? I want the scoop!
The Berlinale seems like it’s going to be a blast. A few things are really standing out. First, Timothée Chalamet might just be heading for an Oscar with his Bob Dylan role in “A Complete Unknown,” and the Berlinale is a big stop on his awards campaign trail.
Second, Richard Linklater and Ethan Hawke are back at it again with “Blue Moon,” which could be a potential 2026 Oscar contender. Plus, Bong Joon Ho’s new sci-fi flick “Mickey 17” is finally premiering after some delays, so everyone’s curious to see what he’s been up to.
And finally, the festival has some notable trend like Tv showing, for an instance, If you’re into TV, Jacob Elordi’s in “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” a WWII drama based on a Booker Prize-winning novel. The festival will showcase political and motherhood story which is one of the most important trends that Berlinale provides, the political hot potatoes is one of the most interesting topic that everyone loves.
It’s a real mix of buzzworthy movies, big names, and serious themes!
